London Becoming Home

For the London studies section of this website I will attempt to keep posts short, sweet, yet informative.

Getting around is really a learned skill, and has been so much easier, because of the prior experience. I currently have a month long Oyster card that gives me access to the incredibly efficient underground system, as well as use of the buses.

Staying in this midtown flat with the Amblers has been a huge blessing*. I have enjoyed my time with them, though currently they are visiting Paris for 2 days.

I enjoy time alone and seem to have started talking to myself as though I am my own friend. It actually is kind of fun and it helps me think through in order become more decisive.

[What do you want to do today? Oh, we should look in the London A-Z visitor’s guide. Good Idea!]

The 2 items I forgot were important phone numbers and a razor, so today the hair has gotten annoying** enough for me to go get one.

*I was arriving 5 days early to have fun and settle in before classes, not to mention the dramatic increase in plane ticket prices from May to June. Kelsey and her family happened to be in London for the exact 5 days and were willing to share their flat! Now, coincidence or answered prayers?

** A little noticeable. No full beard or anything. See note on Bradley Hathaways manly men at the bottom of my blog ; )
